Entrance Requirements
Due to the demand for places at King's College, the admission's process is selective. Priority is given to children with a good level of English, with brothers or sisters already studying at King's College and to children of ex King's College pupils.
Pre-Nursery
For children between the ages of 2 and 3 years the only requirement is to present the official application form and necessary documentation.
Nursery
In September of the year that children are three, they join a Nursery Class. In order to do so, parents must complete and return the official application form to be found at the back of the brochure and send in a recent report from the child's current Pre-Nursery School (where applicable). The Admissions Department will inform all parents about the availability of places when the admissions procedure commences each year.
If a place is available, an appointment will be made for parents to visit the school and for their child to see the school psychologist.
Provided the evaluation with the psychologist is satisfactory, a place will be offered.
Reception

Children applying for Nursery and Reception places are not required to have any prior knowledge of English but preference will always be given to those who do.
Year 1
Pupils applying for places in Year 1 should have some knowledge of English.
Parents should complete and return the official application form to be found at the back of the brochure and include all the necessary documentation including reports from the previous school. The Admissions Department will inform all parents about the availability of places when the admissions procedure commences each year.
If a place is available, an appointment will be made for parents to visit the school and for their child to see the Head of Infants and the School Psychologist.
Provided the school reports and the evaluations are satisfactory, a place will be offered.
Year 2
Pupils applying for places in Year 2 must have attended an English speaking school for at least a year prior to entry. At this age they will be expected to know how to read and write in English.
Parents should complete and return the official application form to be found at the back of the brochure and include all the necessary documentation including reports from the previous school. The Admissions Department will inform parents about the availability of places when the admissions procedure commences each year.
If a place is available, an appointment will be made for parents to visit the school and for their child to see the Head of Infants and the School Psychologist.
Provided the school reports and the evaluations are satisfactory, a place will be offered.
Official Documentation
- Application form. - A photocopy of either the birth.certificate, identity card or passport. - One passport size photograph. - A medical certificate indicating that the child has no infectious diseases.
